While in Chicago I stopped into the Allen Edmonds store on the Miracle Mile.  I went knowing what I wanted… a beautiful pair of walnut leather brogues.  I was pleasantly surprised to be taken care of so well by the young salesman ‘Kyle’. He was young and hip, but knew his shoes.  Like days of old, he slipped each shoe onto my foot and made fit suggestions that helped me pick the proper pair.   He was patient, knowledgeable and more than anything, I was sold, not only on the well-made Strand I chose but the whole experience of buying shoes that fit with the help of a professional that cared.
